The Roots of a Purpose
My passion for human rights was not born in a classroom, but in the raw reality of my own childhood. Experiencing firsthand the impact of adversity and witnessing a mother’s tireless sacrifice for her children taught me that dignity is not an abstract concept, but a vital necessity. For this reason, I understand human rights as a practical social tool—one that must bridge the gap between legal frameworks and the daily lives of communities, far from the hollow or corrosive rhetoric that often clouds common sense in today’s world.
A Path Between Worlds
My life has been a constant evolution through diverse experiences. In my youth, working in community recreation opened my eyes to the world and pushed me out of my comfort zone. That spirit led me to pursue research with insistent curiosity and to navigate global centers of decision-making, including Brussels, Luxembourg, Geneva, France, and the United Arab Emirates, seeking to understand the structures that govern our society.
However, advocating for human rights and challenging corruption in Colombia came at a high personal cost. Like millions of others, I faced the difficult decision of leaving behind those I deeply esteemed to seek safety in the United States. My story is no different from many others, marked by the harsh reality of starting over without losing one’s essence.
Values Over Titles
I have never been a friend of empty recognitions or titles on a wall that do not translate into actions for others. I believe in doing things with heart and conviction. Throughout my life, I have launched multiple projects: many failed, others were left behind, and some prospered, but each one fueled my passion for technology, marketing, and media. From this intersection of communication and audio production, Mrpodman was born—uniting my studies in commercial voice-over and journalism with a desire to give a voice to what truly matters.
Writing with Purpose
After two decades of observing human behavior across different cultures and contexts, I decided it was time to put those lessons on paper. My books and my current work with United Organizations are the result of that learning: a constant search for real, sustainable, and technological solutions that empower people, moving away from dependency and giving them back control over their own narrative.
